Update on Windrows Removal…… Your concerns about windrows were heard! I brought your concerns to City Manager and City Council's attention, and my office has been working very hard with the city's department to respond to hundreds of emails we received and address the issues you brought up; and our city has already started taking action to remove residential area's windrows.

Yesterday and today, I was visiting the community, and so glad to see the progress of windrows removal. This afternoon, I had an opportunity to speak to a frontline worker who has removed over 30 snow “mountains” on the street of a neighborhood, where these snow piles/mountains are formed due to windrows removal. His work will continue over the weekend to clean up around 70 snow mountains in the community. Thank you for all the hard work our snow removal team has been doing.

As a friendly reminder, an online snow clearing schedule is available on the city’s website for you to check daily updates https://www.edmonton.ca/transpor.../on_your_streets/snow-ice. Also, the city’s Phase 2 Parking Ban began on January 10 and is still in effect. The residents are encouraged to watch for no parking signage in our neighborhoods and provide room for crews to work safely.
