Action Results: Traffic Safety Upgrades to Address School Safety

You are heard! So many parents and our ward residents contacted me regarding speeding and parking violation during school pick-up and drop-off times around St.Thomas Aquinas Catholic School. As your City Councillor, safety for our kids, seniors and residents is so important for me. I take what I heard seriously, now I am pleased to share that our city listened to you and made the following Safety Plan to improve traffic safety in the area.

The safety measures are planned to be installed by September 2, weather and resources permitting. After the measures are installed, bylaw officers will be prioritizing this area to enforce proper parking.

The City will continue to monitor traffic data and parking violations to determine if any adjustments are needed. Community members can inform the City about any operational challenges or maintenance

needs related to the installed measures by calling 311.
