Tax Increase Update

City Council will deliberate the budget adjustments proposed by the City Administration to the 2023-2026 budget between November 21-29, 2023. You are invited to contact me at Jennifer.Rice@edmonton.ca to let me know your thoughts.

As compared with the 2023-26 budget approved by Council in December 2022, the City’s Administration has proposed a tax increase to 7.09% for 2024. For more information, please visit:

Last December, I voted against the tax increase for the city’s 2023-2026 budget; and the amount of deficit and debt our city has is also concerning to me. How I vote on the budget adjustment for 2024 will be informed by what my ward residents tell me is important to them.
