Spring is already here! Let’s keep our city clean and beautiful.

On April 11, City crews started the annual spring sweep clean-up of streets, bike lanes, and major pathways to ensure they are safe, clean, and ready for you to enjoy. This is one of the many ways the City of Edmonton helps keep our city clean.

A few friendly reminders:

Note#1: The sweeping will run Monday to Friday, 24 hours a day, with residential roads being the focus during the day (7 am to 7 pm) and high-volume roads being swept at night. The spring sweep is expected to be completed by June 1, 2023.

Note#2: To make the sweeping process more efficient, the City will place no parking signs in areas where street sweeping occurs. We kindly ask residents to move their vehicles to provide crews plenty of room to work as they clear sand and debris from the City’s boulevards and streets.

Note#3: Also remind residents to remove them for sweeping if they use driveway ramps in front of their homes. Leaving these ramps in place could impact the completion of an area.

Note#4: The City also encourages businesses and residents to sweep sidewalk debris onto the road before street sweeping in their area.
