Road safety Initiatives in our neighbourhood!

Hello our Skyrattler neighbours, the Skyrattler Neighbourhood Association (SNA) has been working with the City of Edmonton to develop some Street Lab projects to slow down traffic at pedestrian crossings, and discourage short-cutting through the neighbourhood, and keep the streets pedestrian and cyclist-friendly. The SNA has a short survey they are encouraging residents to take by April 14, 2022, which can be found here: https://form.jotform.com/220820766561052

Street Lab projects are a way in which the City of Edmonton works with neighbourhood residents to design safe streets that can accommodate all street users from pedestrians to cyclists to vehicles. More information is available at www.Edmonton.ca/StreetLabs

In our Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi, we currently have about 33 Street Lab projects that are now in progress. I look forward to joining our neighbours in various neighbourhoods across our ward to improve our community’s road safety. If you have any questions regarding these projects, please feel free to reach out to me at Jennifer.rice@edmonton.ca or at 780-496-8132.
