Pushing For Better Snow Removal

Dear Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi residents, your voice was heard and the City is acting!
On November 1st, I brought your request for better snow removal on your residential streets to Council’s attention. On December 17th, Council unanimously approved a pilot project to remove snow down to pavement on heavy snow days until the end of April combined with increased sanding at intersections, all while working within the existing snow removal budget.
Today, with Edmonton’s temperatures below -30°C, I visited some neighbourhoods within our ward to see the snow removal progress on various residential streets. Most people I spoke with told me they are happy with the new pilot, but if you have further feedback on the pilot, please call 311.
