On Demand Transit Update

Hello Ward Ipiihkohkanipiaohtsi residents, many of you reached out to me regarding the ETS Bus services in our ward, in particular in some newly developed neighbourhoods. After working with the ETS team, I am happy to provide some updates. Today, I want to focus on the "On Demand" bus service update:

1. On Demand Transit service will now be a permanent layer in the transit network. On Demand Transit serves 59 neighbourhoods and 16 seniors residences that would not have transit service without this first/last kilometre connection.

2. In October 2023, one more On Demand bus became available for the Blackmud Creek neighbourhood to address the concern from some of the parents to support our students having sufficient bus services o their school.

3. On Demand Transit service will now increase weekly off-peak service by 500 hours to grow On Demand service by 25 per cent, to address the needs of our growing city.
