No city-run vaccine passport

There will be no city-run vaccine passport for Edmonton. Yesterday, City Council accepted the city administration’s recommendation for not implementing an Edmonton-only vaccine passport program. I wish to personally thank everyone who contacted me to share your opinions and personal stories on this matter. I was very moved to see many of you share personal stories of how past two years have affected your loved ones, your economic stability, and your mental health. As your representative of Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi, I could not ignore the outpouring of your concerns.

The City’s masking bylaw will be a separate item for Council to discuss at a later date.
