Meeting with Harbin delegates

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting the delegates from one of our sister cities, Harbin, China. We've been sharing municipal relationships since 1985!

It was an emotional moment for me when I heard my mother tounge (mandarin!) used in City Hall. I felt privileged to participate in our city's international connections, particularly because of my diverse background.

I talked about the importance of diversity and inclusion in our City, which we continuously strive to improve. Sister city relations remind us of the growth that comes from having diverse relations.
