April 13, 2022 was an exciting day for Alberta cities, including Edmonton. At the Century Park LRT Platform, I was honoured to stand side by side with the Honourable Minister of Tourism Randy Boissonnault @r_boissonnault, Government of Canada; Honourable Minister of Transportation Rajan Sawhney @_rajansawhney_, Government of Alberta; Mayor Cathy Heron, St.Albert #cathyheron; Wade Coombs, Strathcona County Transit Director to announce that our Edmonton received $67 million from the provincial government in combination with previously announced funding from the federal government.
As a city, Edmonton understands how vital an efficient transit system is to our economy, and we remain committed to working in partnership with all orders of government as we embark on this next stage of economic recovery.
