Today I accepted an interview from Global News, please tune in tonight to watch how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected park 'n ride services in Heritage Valley. Ridership is down, but this is still an important service for so many people in our community who rely on public transit.
The COVID-19 pandemic and resulting public health orders requiring people to work from home if they can is likely contributing to park 'n ride being utilized less than originally planned. However, if utilized rate remains low post pandemic, a cost-effective solution for public transportation is needed to explore further.
