Road Access and Bus Services to Father Michael McCaffery High School

Hello residents in our ward,

As you may have heard, a new high school (Father Michael McCaffery School) will be open and welcoming students on September 3, 2024. Many parents in our ward contacted me with questions regarding road access and bus service to access the new high school. I followed up with the City’s operating team to address these matters.

Today I am happy to share with you the following updates to support our students and parents:

1. Road Access to the School: 32 Avenue SW Road access will open on Friday, August 30 to Father Michael McCaffery High School. See the map below.

2. School Special Bus Services: ETS School Special service is being expanded to Father Michael McCaffery through Routes 658, 659, and 663 starting September 1, 2024. For more information, please visit the City’s website:https://www.edmonton.ca/ets/school-special-bus-routes

a. Route 658: Rutherford to Heritage Valley (Father Michael McCaffery school)

b. Route 659: MacEwan to Heritage Valley (Father Michael McCaffery school)

c. Route 663: Chappelle to Heritage Valley (Father Michael McCaffery school)

3. Other ETS updates: School Special bus routes are available to Dr. Anne Aderson High School and D. S. MacKenzie Junior High School, the detailed information in included at the above link. In addition, Bus services have changed for Route 727, with Route 727 now operating along additional sections of 119A Street that road construction has been completed.
