ETS Holiday Schedule and Updates

Hello Ward Ipiihkoohkanipiaohtsi residents, our city's public transit service Edmonton Transit Service - ETS has some schedule updates during the holiday season between December 31, 2023, to January 8, 2024.


The following areas will experience changes to operating hours and service levels over the holiday season using the Edmonton Transit Service (ETS):


A. December 27, 28, 29 and 30: All school trips and school special routes are cancelled. Regular bus routes operate using reduced weekday schedules. LRT will operate with regular weekday schedules.

B. December 31: From 6 p.m. until the end of service, all transit riders can board buses, LRT and DATS for free. Some routes will also have extended service until 3 a.m.

C. January 1: Both buses and LRT lines will operate on Sunday schedules.

D. January 2, 3, 4 and 5: All school trips and school special routes are cancelled. Regular bus routes operate using reduced weekday schedules. All LRT lines return to their regular weekday service.

E. January 8: Full service on all bus routes resumes.


Riders are encouraged to double-check their schedules using the trip planner on edmonton.ca/transit or Google Maps. Full service resumes Monday, January 8, 2024.


Bus routes 1, 7, 73, 511, 523, 701 and 900X will be on detour from 7 a.m. on December 31 to 2 a.m. on January 1, 2024.


On-Demand Transit

On Demand Transit will be available on December 25, 26, 31 and January 1. Holiday hours for neighbourhood service on these days is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and for seniors residences is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. More information can be found at edmonton.ca/OnDemandTransit.
