To help keep you informed on what is happening at the former Ellerslie Rugby Park at 11004 Ellerslie Road SW, an Open House is planned and hosted by Invistec Consulting Ltd. for Monday, September 18 between 6 - 8pm. Planning is in the early stages and no formal application has been submitted to the city. Representatives from the developers will be there to answer any questions. I was invited by the developer to attend and will be happy to hear residents' thoughts on the proposed plan.
The developer’s current plan is to create a vibrant urban village to support current and future residents which would include a mix of residential and commercial uses. Additionally, a Transportation Impact Assessment is being completed to evaluate the traffic impacts along Ellerslie Road SW and 111 Street SW and potential mitigation measures, if deemed necessary.
