Tree removals are never easy moments for me as I always tell the city's project team that I do not want to see the mature tress be cut or removed as it takes many years to grow new trees. Here is another moment:

Construction Notice – Tree removals along 111 Street:

Beginning the week of November 25, Ledcor, the Design-Build contractor for the project, will need to remove approximately 100 trees on top of the berm on the west side of 111 Street, between 23 Avenue and Saddleback Road. Please refer to the map below.

In accordance with the municipal Public Tree Bylaw, all tree removals will be conducted under the supervision of certified arborists. Ledcor acknowledges Edmontonians' profound desire to maintain the city’s extensive urban canopy. The decision to remove a tree is never taken lightly. Once project construction is complete, new vegetation including trees, native grassland, shrubs and flowers will be planted along portions of the alignment.
