Closure of 156 Street SW

The closing of 156 Street SW in #Chappelle will allow for the continued development of the Chappelle area, conforming with the Chappelle Neighbourhood Area Structure Plan. Specifically, this project will allow for the development of low-rise apartments, stormwater drainage infrastructure, and multi-use greenway developments. The notices were sent out to surrounding property owners and the information was placed on the City’s webpage. In 2023, I had an on-site meeting with surrounding property owners to listen to their concerns regarding this development. On May 27, 2024, there was no opposition speaker on this closure. This rezoning was approved by Council on May 27, 2024.
