Citadel Theatre investment Vote

Some of you have asked me what's my vote on the Citadel Theatre investment. On May 15, 2024, during our City Council meeting, I voted no towards the proposed motion regarding the Citadel Theatre that would bring a funded services package to the city's Fall Budget Adjustment.
Our ward residents repeatedly told me that managing our city's spending is one of strategy that should be implemented to manage our budget.
With the potential tax increase rate of up to higher than previously approved for 2025, I will continue to work hard to focus on the city's fiscal responsibility by controlling the city's spending to ensure our core basic services are provided in a way that meets the needs of Edmontonians.
