Assistance in Weed Prevention and Control

The City of Edmonton is asking for assistance in the prevention and control of invasive weeds on public and private property.

The City is focusing on education and awareness of five weeds this summer: Japanese Knotweed, Himalayan Balsam, Creeping bellflower, Purple loosestrife and Garlic mustard. Photos of these weeds can be found at edmonton.ca/weeds.

In addition to monitoring your own property, you can help by volunteering at City weed pull events at parks and open spaces where invasive weeds have been spotted. Visit https://www.edmonton.ca/programs.../pests/weed-pulls... for information and to register.
