153 Street SW Update

In Spring this year, I was visiting the Edmonton South Centre 153 Street SW, and deeply concerned about the 153 street SW road condition. Having been work with the city operating team and the residents to address this concern and improve the road infrastructure for our South Edmonton centre area.

I understand this area was annexed several years due to the city’s planning policy, but the development and updates on the infrastructure is not at the level that our residents expect. As the Councillor for the area, from what I heard and also from what I saw through my ongoing visits in our ward including this area, I’m also not happy for how our city’s policy impacts the infrastructure improvements for this area, also the services level the city’s residents received.

For 153 Street road condition now, some improvement work has been done. Even though there are still more work needs to be done, I will continue to push the services and Infrastructure improvement for our South Edmonton Centre area.
