Edmonton 2023-2026 Budget Process Update#1............

Yesterday my City Council colleagues and I decided how we will move forward with the 2023-2026 Budget Process. I know that this task of approving a budget will be one of the most important things this council does during our term and it is something I am applying myself to with great consideration.

My promise to you, my fellow Edmontonians, is to stay clear and steadfast in my promise to remain fiscally responsible as we go forward in this budget process. There will be many deserving items up for discussion and I know some tough choices will need to be made about what we choose to fund. My focus, as always, will be first and foremost on providing core municipal services.

We approved report FCS01287 (which can be found online here starting on page 71: https://pub-edmonton.escribemeetings.com/FileStream.ashx?DocumentId=150086 ) which will serve as the high-level process our City Council will follow for the 2023-2026 budget deliberations. I commit to keeping you all up to date as we go through this process as best I can, as I know the choices made will affect us all.
