It was my great pleasure to attend the Society for Talent Education’s Christmas Concert #societyfortalenteducation to provide opening remarks on behalf of the Edmonton City Council on December 11. It brought me great joy to see Edmonton’s youth demonstrate their musical talents, and it reminded me of my daughter performing at her Christmas event. Learning how to play an instrument is not only fun but it builds many transferable skills. A musically gifted child will use these skills in all aspects of their life and in helping develop a future community leader.
This concert is an annual tradition consisting of double bass, cello, viola, and violin accompanied with piano. Below is a short clip of the wonderful music.
