Northwest Territories Wildfires

As of 9am on August 23rd, 2023, 5233 evacuees have been registered at the Edmonton EXPO center due to wild fires in the Northwest Territories.
I had the chance to visit the site on August 21, 2023, with some of Edmonton's City Councillors. It made me very emotional to think of the way these people have been displaced due to wild fires. Great efforts by City of Edmonton have been put in place to assist people during these unprecedented times.
