Awards of Excellence Ceremony: Congratulations to all award recipients!

Last Friday night, I was honoured to deliver greetings on behalf of the City Council and to participate in the Awards of Excellence ceremony held by the National Black Coalition of Canada (NBCC) – Edmonton Chapter. Congratulations to all award recipients whose contributions to our community make Edmonton proud. Your passion and outstanding contributions to your community made such a positive difference in our city. Thank you to all the wonderful people I met last Friday night for sharing your personal stories including how you contributed to your community, which deeply touched my heart.

Edmonton is home to more than 70 unique ethnic groups. We pride ourselves on the fact that people can come here from all over the world and build a good life for their families. When we come together as a community, we create a stronger and more cohesive city.
