The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese festival, which falls on the 29th of September this year. It has its origin in sacrificial activities celebrating harvest dating back over 3,000 years.

Lanterns and mooncakes are typical for the festival: Lanterns are symbolic beacons that light people's path to prosperity and good fortune, while the round shape of mooncakes symbolizes family reunion. Family members will return home from afar and sit around the table, watching the full moon, tasting the mooncakes, and expressing their best wishes.

I wish you and your family a happy MId-Autumn Festival.
