International Women’s Day

Today is International Women’s Day, it’s a day that honours the social, cultural, and political accomplishments of women - not only in our city but around the world; it’s also a day to reaffirm our city’s commitment to achieving gender parity.
We remain committed to building a city where all women feel safe, empowered, and able to achieve their full potential. We are stronger when women’s voices are heard and respected. I thank everyone for supporting women in our city and helping to Break the Bias. I would also like to thank Edmontonians for electing eight women to our Edmonton City Council.
